Date of Passing: Sep 25, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCIS GERALD STOREY 1928 - 2001 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jerry Storey on Tuesday, September 25, 2001. He was predeceased by his first wife Marjorie (Smith) in 1988. Jerry was a loving, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Doreen; his daughters, Margaret Titheridge, Janice (Bruce) Foote and Sharon (John) Burns; grandchildren, Michael and Mykiala Titheridge, Andrew and Lauren Foote, and Chris and Steven Burns; his sister Lorna (Norman) Johnson; son-in-law Mark Titheridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gerald was born and raised in Young, SK. At the age of 18 he joined the Royal Canadian Navy. He served for 29 years and loved to travel. He later worked as an aerospace engineer for Standard Aero Engines until his retirement in 1986. He remarried in 1990 and enjoyed 11 wonderful years with Doreen. His greatest joy came from giving of his time and talents to family and friends. He was a master craftsman, creating whatever was required or requested for himself and others. He was an active member of his church and the Cornerstone Masonic Lodge, and spent many happy mornings with his friends at the Inn, having coffee. We will miss his heart of gold underneath all that bluster. We will miss his charm, generosity, and thoughtfulness. Our world will seem much quieter without Jerry sharing his opinion on all matters great or small. We will dearly miss "Gerald the Wonderful." We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the LaSalle First Response Team and the staff at Victoria Hospital. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerrys memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
