HELEN ELIZABETH CREIGHTON It is with great sorrow we announce the peace- ful passing of Helen Elizabeth Creighton, nee Burgess, who went to be with her Lord on September 25, 2001. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her three sons, Gordon; David, three grandsons, three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter, of Winnipeg and Starbuck; and her youngest son Scott; her three daughters, Judy and husband Bob, four grandchildren, three great-grandsons, of Edmonton; Sylvia and husband Glen and two grandchildren, of Winnipeg; Diane, three grandchildren, of British Columbia and Winnipeg, one great-granddaughter of Calgary. She is also survived by her brother George and wife Nan, her sister Sylvia, and their families in Scotland. She was born in Inverness, Scotland in 1918, coming to Winnipeg in 1946. She was a young nurse in Inverness when she met her late husband David. After a five day romance Helen and David were married and remained married for 53 years. She volunteered for many years at Earl Grey Community Centre and was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. Memorial service at Trinity Baptist Church, 549 Gertrude Ave., will be held on Monday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
