MARIETTE MAHLBERG (nee LAFRANCE) Mariette passed away peacefully on September 21, 2001. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Jeanne Lafrance; and her brother Roger. It is with great sadness that we must say goodbye to a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She and her husband Herman carved out a wonderful, peaceful life surrounded by many close friends in the small town of Enderby, BC, where her three children and four grandchildren spent many a happy time, Roger (Nga) Proulx, Robert (Heather) Proulx; their children, Chay and Spencer, and Louise (Alain) Proulx; and their children, Nicole and Danielle, all of whom reside in Calgary, AB. She aslo leaves to mourn her two stepdaughters, Belinda, Lethbridge, AB, and Kim and her daughter Stephanie, Toronto, ON; also, her brothers and sisters, Colette (Jacques) Blanchet, Magog, PQ, Rene (Irma) Lafrance, Glass, MB, Cecile Hillis, Owen Sounds, ON, Irene (Mike) Langhan, Winnipeg, and Paul (Shirley) Lafrance, Winnipeg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends gathered together for funeral services on Thursday, September 27 at Ste Annes Catholic Church in Enderby. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
