William Murray Coghlin, age 78, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 27, 2001 at Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. Left to cherish his memory are his son and daughter-in-law, Laurie and Mary Coghlin; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bud Foster; grandson Steven Foster; wife Isabel Coghlin; brother-in-law Mac Douglas all of Winnipeg; sister Marie Routledge; nephews, Greg Marchant, Daryl Marchant and families all of Milton, ON and nephew Lorne Douglas and family of Christchurch, New Zealand. Murray was born, raised and educated in Manitoba. He was called to the Bar of Manitoba in May 1950, and spent the majority of his career as a partner with Pitblado and Hoskin, specializing in corporate and business law until his retirement in 1989. Murray was honoured to receive his appointment to Queens Counsel in 1978. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 1 at 12:30 p.m., at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a Reception to follow immediately afterward. Our family wishes to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all of our friends at Heritage Lodge for providing such a loving, compassionate and supportive home for Dad this past year. We would also like to thank Dr. Young, Dr. Kotecha, Tuxedo Villa and all of our Home Care workers in past years for all their care. We consider all of you a part of our family. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Dad, you will be missed always....
