Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE BEVERLEY 1925 - 2001 We are saddened to announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather George on September 27, 2001 at Pinawa Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. George was predeceased by his parents, Kate in 1967, Dod in 1974 and by numerous relatives and friends. George will be greatly missed and is survived by his loving wife Verna of 25 years; his sons, Donald (Faye) and Robert; daughter, Michelle; their mother Ida Sulkers; daughter, Beverley (Dave) Dobson; stepchildren, Cheryl Cruickshank, Gaye Hawryluk, James and Geordie (Tara) Cruickshank; grandchildren, Sean, Kyle, Nikkole, Robbie, Kiah, Jacey, Kyle, Tim, Keri, Geoff, Avery; great-grandchildren, Justin and Danielle. Also by friends and relatives in Winnipeg and Lee River. George was born in Winnipeg on December 24, 1925. He served in the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War. George was employed at Bristol Aerospace for 37 years, retiring a Chief Inspector in 1991. Following retirement, George and Verna moved to Lee River, where they resided until his passing. He was an avid curler, belonging to many leagues over the years and looked forward to Brier season. He was a life long member of The Royal Canadian Legion, most recently Lac Du Bonnet Br. 164. George had a good sense of humour and was famous for his "one liners". Even when the end was near, he still had a good joke for us. It was Georges wish that there be no service. A private family service will be held at a later date at Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to express their everlasting gratitude to Dr. Haggard, Dr. Van Gende and the excellent staff at Pinawa Hospital for their care and compassion during Georges illness. Special thanks to Brian and Marlene Arnason for their help and support during this difficult time. We would also like to thank everyone for their cards, visits and phone calls during Georges illness. Your kind thoughts were greatly appreciated. Should friends so desire, a donation in Georges memory may be made to The Pinawa Health Auxiliary, Pinawa General Hospital, Pinawa, MB.
