GERRY KASPER 1932 - 2001 Suddenly Gerry passed away peacefully at his home on September 27, 2001. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Herman Kasper and Paul Casper; sister Lydia Japs (Dan) brothers-in-law John Wilson, Ted Boutet and Louis Solnes. Gerry leaves to mourn his wife Penny; children, Karen Clay (Bob), Tim (Sherri), Dale (Illa), Chris (Jacquie) and Shannon Smith (Lincoln) 13 grandchildren; sisters, Mabel Solnes, Lena Wilson, Iona Boutet, Violet Hatherly (Jack) brother Ben Casper (Aileen) sisters-in-law Hilda Kasper and Hilda Casper and numerous relatives and friends. Gerry was a longtime member of the Canadian German Society. He was an avid curler until a few years ago, and was always a true blue Bomber fan win or lose. Gerry worked as a pressman for 43 years for Continenal Can Company. Anyone whos ever been on a dance floor has more than likely seen or danced with Gerry as he loved to dance. Since his retirement Gerry has enjoyed the company of a number of special new friends, such as the gang at the Rivercrest. Memorial service will take place on Monday, October 1, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., Interment will take place at a later date in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
