EMMA INGABORG ELLIS In loving memory of our dear Mom who passed away peacefully on September 25, 2001 at River East Personal Care Home, in her 97th year. She was predeceased by her husband Sydney in 1988 and her beloved daughter Joan Fogg in 1985, also two infant children. She is survived by daughter Eleanor Smith of Winnipeg, son Thomas of Edmonton and son Russell (Thelma) of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Russell Smith (Toivi) of Winnipeg, Terry Smith (Lorelie) of Winnipeg, Gregory Smith (Brenda) of Vancouver, and Timothy Smith of Winnipeg and Donald Ellis (Jean) of Edmonton, Kathy St. John, Emma Jean (Victor) Carey, Thomas Ellis Jr. (Joanne) and Ron Ellis (Laura) all of Whitby, ON, and Allan Fogg of Regina; and ten great-grandchildren. Emma was raised in Bottineau, ND and she met and married her husband Sydney and came as a young bride to make her home in Canada. Her younger years were spent in Seven Sisters Falls where she and Syd raised their family. In 1950, they moved to Winnipeg and lived there until their death. For the past eight years Emma was a resident of River East Personal Care Home and the family wishes to express their sincere thanks to all staff for their care and compassion during her time there. A private memorial service will be held to honour her memory at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., on Saturday, September 29, Mr. John Bodner, a Jehovahs Witness Minister will officiate at the service.
