VALBORG MARGARETHE STEVENS On Thursday, September 27, 2001 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Val Stevens, aged 79 years of Stonewall and formerly of Lake Francis, MB. Born in Denmark, October 2, 1921, came to Canada in 1926 living in various places in Canada, finally settling in Lake Francis. She was predeceased by her husband Alder in 1993; a son Peter in 1978 and by her brother Peter in 1993. Surviving to mourn her loss five sons and one daughter, Ed (Linda), Margaret (Larry), Tom; Alfred (Kelly), Charlie and Harold. Four grandchildren, Sherri, Clinton, Ryan and Carly. Two great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law Lil Eriksen. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, September 30 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall, Rev. J. Holmen and Rev. C. Chapman will officate. Interment will follow in the Lake Francis Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
