HENRY JOHNSEN Early Sunday morning, September 30, 2001, Henry Johnsen, age 81, passed away at the Grace Hospital. Henry was predeceased by his brothers, Holger and Chris; and his sister Thelma. Henry was the beloved husband of Betty, married 50 years on August 18, 2001. He will be sadly missed by his loving daughter Jennifer; and sons, Russel and Brian; his special daughter-in-law Sally; son-in-law Kevin; grandchildren, Trevor, Jordan, Travis, and Dylan; as well as his sister Agnes. Henry lost his sight several years ago and was actively involved with the CNIB. He spent many happy times with his children and grandchildren at the lake. Henry coached hockey at the local community club and was an avid writer. He was involved with Creative Retirement and he had a book published and wrote childrens stories. Henry and Betty had a weekend hobby farm in Tolstoi, MB, where they spent many weekends gardening. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital as well as Home Care staff for the care given to Henry. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donation in Henrys memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial service for Henry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2001, at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow.
