EDITH S. BETHEL (nee McKILLOP) 1904 - 2001 Peacefully on Friday, September 28, Edith Bethel, the beloved wife of the late James Bethel, passed away in Oakview Place at the age of 97 years. Edith was predeceased by her husband, Jim in 1978. She will be fondly remembered by her sister, Jean Hindson and her niece, Beverley (Bruce) Jacobs of Winnipeg, as well as sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and California. She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters and three brothers. Edith was born in Napinka, MB and in past years taught school in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. She was a kind and warm hearted lady who loved her family. Her last years were spent in the care of Oakview Place Extendicare Home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the care and concern Edith received while residing there. There will be a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3 in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with the Rev. T. Hidichuk officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
