MARGARET WINNIFRED MACKIE (WILLOX) Peacefully, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, September 29, 2001, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Margaret Mackie, aged 77, of Winnipeg, MB, beloved mother of Heather, Craig, Holly and Bonnie. Predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Isabelle Willox; and brothers, Alexander (Sandy) and Stanley (Stish). Left to celebrate her life are her four children and their spouses, Hes (Dave Sveinson), Craig (Jane), Holly (Keith Berg), Bonnie (Manny Arruda) three grandchildren, Chris, Rob and Micheal; brothers, Doug (Sheila) Willox, Laurie (Gail) Willox and sister-in-law, Evie Willox and their families. Meg will also be lovingly missed by many friends and her special pup, Buddy. A true-blue Bomber fan, she held season tickets for over 40 years. Her many interests included crosswords, dice games, knitting and reading mysteries. Her time at the lake was some of her fondest. Heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at MX11, Cancercare Manitoba and all of the "angels of the eighth" at the Palliative Care Unit, St. Boniface Hospital. At her request, cremation has taken place. An informal gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, October 3 at 130 Kings Drive, Winnipeg, at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Megs memory can be made to the Palliative Care Fund, St. Boniface Hospital or CancerCare Manitoba. Mom, your strength, humour and love will be with us always. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
