ERNIE HENRY MILLER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernie at Concordia Hospital on Sunday, September 30, 2001. He was so loved by his wife Sandra; daughters, Andrea (Lyle), Jodene (Tim) and granddaughters, Ava and Holly. Also missing him are his sisters, Lillian (Mel), Lenore (Alf) his brother Ervin (Mary Lou) as well as numerous other family members and his many friends. Ernie retired from a job he loved at Tec Voc High School in 1995 as one of the Magnificent Seven and then used his skills as a tradesman to create many wood projects. Family and friends of "Nimble Thimbles" are in possession of these creations from the Poplar Avenue Wood Shop. Ernie enjoyed playing cards and always blamed his partners for their poor plays. He also loved to dance and claimed he burned the soles off many pairs of shoes. The stories are endless. His greatest love was for his girls and the addition of two granddaughters just added to his joy. The highway to Medicine Hat became more frequently travelled after the birth of his first granddaughter in February of 1999. Rest peacefully love - sweet memories will be with us forever. To all the Health Care Workers who have been there for us for the past seven years, we thank you for your care and concern. If friends so desire, donations in Ernies memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg MB R3E 0V9 or to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 4 at 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow.
