DONALD RODERICK McCRIMMON June 26, 1930 - September 30, 2001 Peacefully in his sleep at Spearhill, Donald went to eternal rest. Donald will be remembered by his sisters, Anna Burkhardt of Maple Ridge, BC, Jean McCrimmon of Abbotsford, BC and Carolyn (Wayne) Davis of Woodlands, MB. Also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Wilbur and Martha, and brother Russell. Donald was raised in the Faulkner district and attended school in Aston Villa Carn Ridge, Moosehorn, and Spearhill. He lived most of his life in Spearhill and was most at home with the solitude that came with living there. He spent most of his working years with the Ranchers in the North Interlake. He also worked for CP Rail in British Columbia in 1956 to 1957. He was a compassionate and giving person. If he thought someone needed a hand he was there to help. He lived in the Manor in Moosehorn for 11 years and many can attest to Donald bringing their mail and groceries with a cheery grin. Donald was a colourful person, you could see Donald driving his tractor out to Spearhill to tend to the garden. He was a special person to many and will be missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5 at the Moosehorn Community Hall in Moosehorn with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow in the Grahamdale Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be John Meisner, Norman Dycke, George Middlestead, Art Middlestead, Alvin Kopp, Wayne Schneider, and Irene Weidner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whitetail and Walleye Association, in care of Larry Gering, Moosehorn, MB, R0C 2E0.
