CHRISTINE VICTORIA WABICK Peacefully, she passed away after a brief illness with cancer, on Monday, October 1, 2001 at the Arborg and Districts Health Center, Christine Wabick, aged 59 years, beloved wife of David Wabick, of Silver, MB. Surviving besides her husband David; three daughters, Pam Wabick, Monica (Frederick) Redden, Suzanne (Kerry) Gilson; grandchildren, Cassandra and Connor Redden, Emily and Brandon Gilson; sister Ruth (David) Blahey; brother Gord (Vickie) Fedorchuk and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Sophie Fedorchuk. Christine was born December 25, 1941 in Gimli, was raised at Silver, moved to Winnipeg as a young women, was married to David and raised their children there. She recently retired from MTS. Chris and Dave built their retirement home on the original family farm in Silver. She loved to cook, garden and enjoyed travelling to various parts of the world with her husband. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Silver, MB. Rev. Fr. P. Chorney will officiate. Interment will follow in the Silver Cemetery. The family wish to express their appreciation for the compassion shown by the Doctors, nurses, and staff at both Selkirk and Arborg Hospitals. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Arborg and Districts Health Center. Dedicated to the memory of my wife and our mom.
