RETA FRANCIS WEISS Peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2001 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Reta is survived by her husband Edmond; sons, Kurt and Heather Cripps of Spruce Grove, AB, Cyril and Lena Weiss of St. Andrews, MB; granddaughters, Christine and Ron Mantik of Winnipeg, Kimberly and Chad Harmider of Spruce Grove; grandsons, Richard Weiss of St. Andrews and Wesley Cripps of Spruce Grove; great-grandchildren, Darian Cripps of Spruce Grove, Eric Mantik of Winnipeg and Jessica Cripps of Spruce Grove; brothers, Lawrence and Muriel Reilly and Harold Reilly of Regina, SK, Gordon and Irene Reilly of Prince Albert, SK; sisters, Margaret McWilliams of Prince Albert, Ella and Frank Stewart of Prince Albert, Helen and Cyril Howrie of Spruce Grove. Reta will be fondly remembered by numerous nephews and nieces. Also left to mourn her passing are extended family members, Ernie and Donna Davidson and their children, Jennifer, Michael and Candice. Reta was predeceased by her brother Douglas Reilly, sister Joyce Reilly, son Edward Weiss, parents George and Margaret Reilly. Reta was born in Atwater, SK and raised in Spyhill. Reta lived and raised her family in Winnipeg. In 1978 they retired to St. George, MB where they lived until 2000 when they moved back to West Kildonan. Reta had a real passion for knitting and baking and giving her handy work to family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Retas memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Manitoba Lung Association. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing one half hour prior, in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
