MICHELINE SABOURIN (nee CHALIFOUX) Paisiblement et entouree de ses trois enfants a sa residence de Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Micheline Sabourin (nee Chalifoux), a succombe suite a une longue maladie le mardi 2 octobre 2001. Elle laisse dans le deuil un garcon, Louis-Philippe, et deux filles, Marie-Eve et Veronique, ainsi que le pere de ses enfants, Philippe Sabourin. Micheline laisse aussi six soeurs et trois freres ainsi quune mere adoptive, Eugenie Rajotte, deux demi-freres et plusieurs beaux-freres et belles-soeurs. Micheline fut precedee dans la mort par son pere, Marcel Chalifoux, sa mere Christiana Rajotte, ainsi quun pere adoptif, Antoine Rajotte de Sorel, PQ. Micheline, nee le 12 janvier 1951 a Sorel, a obtenu un Baccalaureat en Education a lUniversite de Montreal en 1973. Jeune femme aventuriere, elle poursuivit sa carriere au Manitoba. Elle epousa Philippe en 1975. Visant toujours la perfection et se donnant corps et ame, elle a merite le respect de ses nombreux eleves et collegues. La lecture, la nature, la musique, sa religion et sa langue maternelle furent ses passions. Micheline a connu deux luttes contre le cancer, la premiere a lage de 34 ans. Cetait toujours avec grand courage et determination quelle foncait dans la vie. La famille desire remercier tous ceux et celles qui ont assiste Micheline durant sa maladie. Les parents et les amis peuvent, sils le desirent, faire un don en sa memoire au CancerCare Foundation Inc., Breast Cancer Fund, Room ON 109, 675 McDermot, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. La messe des funerailles, en presence des cendres, sera celebree par M. labbe Raymond Bremaud le samedi 6 octobre a 10h00 en lEglise de Saint-Jean-Baptise. Selon la volonte de Micheline, linhumation des cendres se fera au Quebec dans un avenir rapproche. La direction des funerailles a ete confiee au Salon mortuaire Desjardins 233-4949 ou sans frais 1-888-233-4949. MICHELINE SABOURIN (nee CHALIFOUX) Peacefully and surrounded by her three children, Micheline Sabourin (nee Chalifoux) passed away after a long illness at her residence in Saint-Jean-Baptiste at the age of 50 years, on Tuesday, October 2, 2001. She leaves to mourn a son, Louis-Philippe and two daughters, Marie-Eve and Veronique as well as the father of her children, Philippe Sabourin. Micheline also leaves six sisters and three brothers as well as an adoptive mother Eugenie Rajotte, two half-brothers and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Micheline was predeceased by her father Marcel Chalifoux, her mother Christiana Rajotte, as well as an adoptive father Antoine Rajotte of Sorel, PQ. Micheline, born in Sorel on January 12, 1951, obtained a Bachelor in Education degree from the University of Montreal in 1973. Being an adventurous woman, she pursued her career in Manitoba. She wed Philippe in 1975. Always aspiring for perfection and with full dedication, Micheline gained the respect of numerous students and colleagues. Reading, nature, music, her religion and her mother tongue were her passions. Micheline fought two battles with cancer, the first one at the age of 34. It was always with great courage and determination that she would forge ahead in life. The family wishes to thank all caregivers during her illness. Donations can be made in her memory to CancerCare Foundation Inc., Breast Cancer Fund, Room ON 109, 675 McDermot, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6 in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Church at 10:00 a.m., presided by Fr. Raymond Bremaud.
