Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORIE ELIZABETH GORDON CHRISTIE After a lengthy illness, Marjorie, aged 91 years, passed away at the Tuxedo Villa on Monday, October 1, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Frederic; sons, John (Joyce) and James (Glenna) and daughter Elizabeth; granddaughters, Heather Christie and Lynne Domoney; and great-grandsons, Brendan and Carson Domoney. Marjorie was the only child of the late Lt. Col. John E. Tulloch and Mrs. Catherine Tulloch. She was born and lived all her life in Winnipeg attending LaVerendrye, Earl Grey Junior High and Kelvin High Schools. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 1932 and was a life member of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity. For many years she was an active Girl Guide and later enjoyed painting as a member of the Winnipeg Sketch Club. Since 1930 the summer home at West Hawk Lake was the location for many weekend occasions and happy annual vacations. In 1926 Marjorie and Fred met in Crescent United Church and were married there 67 years ago this month; one of the last marriages in the church prior to the amalgamation with Fort Rouge United Church. Cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, on Friday, October 5 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Pat Wotton officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. F. D. Corner for many years of caring medical attention and the nursing and support staff at the Tuxedo Villa for their kind and helpful assistance. Flowers are gratefully declined.
