CAMPBELL MYERS MacINNES Campbell Myers MacInnes passed away at the Colonel Belcher Veterans Care Centre in Calgary on October 2, 2001. Cam was born in Winnipeg on October 13, 1921. He joined the RCAF in 1940 and earned his pilots wings at Dauphin, MB. He served in Canada, Britain and Holland. Upon his return from overseas in the fall of 1945 he entered the University of Manitoba Law School and obtained his L.L.B. degree in 1948. After practicing law with the firm of MacInnes Burbidge in Winnipeg for three years, he accepted an offer to join an oil company in Calgary as chief counsel. Cam arrived in Calgary in 1951 with his first wife Eleanor and their daughter Leigh. He enjoyed a successful career as corporate counsel serving the oil industry until 1977 when he retired. Cam is survived by his wife Jessie, his daughter Leigh Schnell (Glenn) of Spokane, his son Blaine (Debra) of Calgary and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Wallace (Margery) of Calgary, his brother Ronald and sister Eleanor McDowell (Andrew) of Winnipeg, and his two sisters, Margaret Floyd and Hazel Hayles of Toronto.
