REGINALD FRANCIS BUTCHER Born May 2, 1912 in Carmen, MB. Died peacefully on September 24, 2001 in West Vancouver, B.C. He is survived by his beloved wife Christine; his four devoted children, Sharon (Jerry - deceased), Bonnie (Paul), Donna (Toivo), Joe; his grandchildren, Kristin and Jeff, Fran and Aaron, Brandy, Marlowe and Dashiell; and his two sisters, Lorraine in Souris, MB, and Betty of Thunder Bay, ON. Reg and Christine were married in the small Icelandic town of Arborg, MB, and shared 60 wonderful years together. After serving as an officer in the Navy, during the Second World War, Reg and his bride moved to Winnipeg to raise their young family. In 1973 they moved to the west coast to be with their grown children and grandchildren. Reg was a true gentleman, a dear husband and wonderful father and grand-father and will be sadly missed by his family and all his relatives and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Capilano Care Center.
