FERGUS F. McINTOSH March 22, 1916 - September 29, 2001 After a courageous 21 year battle with cancer, Fergy is at last free from pain. His family; wife, Thelma; his children, Melonee Collins, Wayne (Marney) McIntosh, Dale McIntosh, and Dawn (Allen) White; and his eight grandchildren, deeply mourn his passing. Fergy married Thelma Funk on August 13, 1941 and they resided most of their 60 years together in Fort Garry. Dad had a variety of occupations during his lifetime, notably a Winnipeg Police Constable for 13 years and a salesman in the paper industry until his retirement. His loyal customers always appreciated his product knowledge and his first class service. We will miss Dads sound advice, his vast knowledge, and his ability to repair anything. His grandchildren; Kelly, Kerry, Lyall, Lindsey, Rob, Kim, Andrew and Ian enjoyed their Poppys sharp mind, humourous stories, and interest in current issues. Our sincere gratitude for the wonderful care Dad received from Dr. Maxwell and Ann of the Victoria Hospital Oncology Unit and from the Palliative Care staff, especially Catherine of the St. Boniface Hospital. At Dads request no funeral will be held. Cremation has taken place. A private family internment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation or the the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated. We will love, miss and remember you always Dad
