Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFREDA SPARKS January 22, 1940 - October 5, 2001 Peacefully and bravely after a brief illness with cancer, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went with the Lord to join her mother, father and Vic on October 5, 2001 at Riverview. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Jim of 43 years and her children, Cathy and Ron, Donna and Len, Donnie and Denise, Kenny and Rosanne. Also her pride and joy grandchildren, Tammy and Jay, Melanie, Aaron, Mandy, Bradley, Dylan and Dana. Also her great-granddaughter Taiya who was the newest light of her life. She also leaves to mourn her sister Hilda and Merle; brothers, Don and Elsie, Bruce and Shirley, also her nieces and nephews who were very dear to her. She also leaves her mother-in-law Katherine Sparks as well as numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Mom will always be remembered for all of her wonderful baking, especially her pies, but most of all just for being her. Mom was a special, caring person who would always do for others even before herself. She thrived on doing whatever she could for us. Many special thanks to Dr. G. Schroeder, Dr. P. Kirk and the most wonderful staff on 3E at Riverview. Moms request was for cremation and a memorial service. The memorial service will be held at Shaughnessy Park United Church at Railway St. and Magnus Ave. on Tuesday October 9 at 2:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Futros, Roland Gaundry, Laurel Blais, Roy McCaffrey, Melville Lillies, and Stan Kess. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation can be made in honour of Freda Sparks to Riverview Palliative Care Ward. Rest in Peace Mom. We all love you very much.
