GEORGE RAYMOND WEBSTER Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2001 at the Third Crossing Manor, Gladstone at the age of 88 years. Born December 1, 1912 on his parents farm south of La Riviere. George grew up in that district and received his education at Mountain School. On July 15, 1944 he married Eunice Buan and they farmed at La Riviere until retiring to Morden in 1971. George had served on the Mountain School Board for a number of years but his greatest interest was farming. After moving to Morden he enjoyed helping the neighbours and doing odd jobs. In 1997 George moved to Third Crossing Manor where he has since resided. George was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Elizabeth Webster; three brothers, Wilbert, Bill, and Roy; and two sisters Mabel and Myrtle. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Eunice of Morden; two daughters, Sharon (Sonny) DeLaronde of Oak Point, and Anne (Doug) Hunt of Gladstone; two sons, Gordon (Linda) Webster of Thompson, and Darrell (Sandi) Webster of Grande Prairie; as well as seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and one sister Ruth Sutherland of Vancouver. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, LaRiviere, MB with Rev. Laurie Simpson officiating. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba, 21 Royal Road South, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 1T8.
