HELENA MAY (NELL) WAKE In Georgetown, ON, on September 30, 2001, in her 88th year, Nell Wake of Clearwater Bay and Winnipeg. Predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley Theodore Wake and her brother Wesley Smith. Survived by her children, Philip Wake (Irene) of Toronto, Linda Dawson (Arthur) of Limehouse, ON, and Barbara W. Carroll (Terrance) of Grimsby, ON; and her grandchildren, Peter Wake of Chicago, Jeffrey Dawson (Susan) of Beamsville, ON, and Heather Dawson of Guelph. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to the Helena May Wake Bursary for mature students, c/o Department of Private Funding, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 2N2.
