JESSIE MORRIS (nee LABA) After a lengthy illness, at the age of 76 years, Grandma passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, October 3, 2001. Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 59 years, Steve, daughter Carol, son Allan, daughter-in-law Bonnie, and her sweethearts, grandson Troy and granddaughter Quinn. She is also survived by her mother Mary Laba, sister Theresa Rech and many other family members and friends. Jessie was born on February 14, 1925 in Mountain Road, Manitoba and raised her family in Winnipeg. Her greatest joy was her two grandchildren, babysitting them, attending their school plays and sporting events, taking them shopping, out for lunch, and baking them cookies and cinnamon buns. At Jessies request, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Jessies memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. We would like to thank Dr. Stephen Henry, the staff of the Dialysis Unit and the staff of the Palliative Care Ward at the St. Boniface Hospital who cared for Jessie.
