BERTHILDE MARCOTTE (nee COULOMBE) June 5, 1914 After a lengthy illness, at the age of 87 years, Mom passed away with her family by her side on Friday, October 5, 2001 at the St. Pierre Repos Jolys. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Pierre Marcotte and her daughter Pierrette (Gaetan) Gosselin; by her grandchildren, Shannon (Tim) Punton, Josee (Joel) Bretecher, and Gaye (Joel) Desrosiers; her seven great-grandchildren, Courtney and Sydney Punton, Melanie and Julie Bretecher, Andre, Dominique and Daniel Desrosiers. She also leaves behind her sister Alice (Lloyd) Brown; sisters-in-law, Germaine Coulombe (Laurent), Noella Coulombe (Benoit), Germaine Coulombe (Daniel) and brother-in-law Jean Delannoy. Berthilde was predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur Marcotte on June 18, 1995, and her parents, Thomas and Rose Coulombe; four brothers, Noel (Geraldine), Laurent, Benoit and Daniel; two sisters, Bernadette and (Edouard) Marion and Marie Delannoy. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Abbott and staff at St. Pierre Hospital, and to Claire and the health care providers at St. Pierre Repos Jolys for their caring and kindness towards Mom. Prayers will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10 at St. Malo Catholic Church followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Malo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in Berthildes memory, donations may be made to the Quiet Room of the Repos-Jolys, in care of the DeSalaberry District Health Centre, St. Pierre, MB.
