CHARLES LESLIE RAYMOND Peacefully, on Sunday, October 7, 2001, Charles Leslie Raymond, aged 85, passed away. "Les" is survived by his son Brian (Antje) and grandson Travis Leslie Raymond; by his sisters, Isabel (Hib) Honkey, Margaret (Chuck) Reynolds and brother Bob (Helen) Raymond; sister-in-law Ollie Raymond; brothers-in-law; Ted Bursa and Charlie Oliver; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. My father was predeceased by his loving wife Doreen, mother and father, four sisters and two brothers. Les was born on September 1, 1916 in Manitoba and resided for the majority of his lifetime in West Kildonan. My father was a patriarch, a man of great age and dignity, a kind, gentle individual with a zest for life, a loving husband, loving father and grandfather, a good friend to all. He served his family, his friends, his country and his employer with a tremendous sense of pride and devotion. His sense of humour was always present as was his love for music. Pam, thank you for all of your support. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in his honour on Wednesday, October 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Dad, you may not be with us anymore but you will always be in our hearts and a day shall never pass when we do not think of you.
