WILLIAM (BILL) SWAR In sorrow and sadness we announce the sudden death of our husband, father, grandfather and brother, William Swar, aged 80 years, Saturday, October 6, 2001 at his residence in Poplarfield, MB. Born February 23, 1921, at Poplarfield, William will be missed by his loving wife Margaret of 50 years, son Larry (Emily), daughter Jessie (Rob), son Andy (Myra), son Glen (Helene), son Jack (Kathy), brother John (Sonia), sister Olga Walashek of White Rock, BC, sister-in-law Katherine Swar of Detroit. Also cherishing his memory are 11 grandchildren, Kurtis, Justin, Garrett, Adrian, Alexandra, Sean, Cory, Tiffany, Sean, Tyler and Erik; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward and Tillie Malenchak of Fisher Branch, John and Gladys Talaga of Winnipeg, Leonard Talaga of Broad Valley, father and mother-in-law John and Annie Talaga of Broad Valley, numerous nieces and nephews, Auntie Doris Wilson and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Anna Swarychewski, brother Nick and brother-in-law Joe Walashek. William enjoyed life through a love of music, travelling, motorcycling, sea-doing, snow-mobiling, gardening and nature. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the Poplarfield Community Centre, with Rev. Fr. P. Chorney officiating. At his request cremation has taken place. Interment will follow in the Poplarfield Community Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
