ELIZABETH YAEGER (nee FRITZ) Peacefully on October 6, 2001 our beloved mom, grandmother and great-grandmother passed into eternity in her sleep at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home where she had resided since April 1993. Elizabeth was born in Unterwalden, Austria on February 24, 1904, immigrated to Winnipeg in 1927 where she met and married Friedrich on May 11, 1929. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Theresa Fritz, brother Peter and sisters, Karolina Krahenbiel, Louise Liebrecht and Julia Mattes. She was also predeceased by her husband Friedrich Wilhelm on February 7, 1949. She will be fondly remembered by her son Frederick (Gladys) Yaeger and daughter Theresa (Adolf) Pastrick; also by her five grandchildren, Susan (Juergen) Boeve, Frederick (Sylvia) Yaeger, William (Carmen) Yaeger, Robert (Daisy) Pastrick, Kathleen (Michael) Heesaker and ten great-grandchildren, Christina and Peter Boeve, Alexandria and Erica Yaeger, Nathaniel and Elyssia Yaeger, Brittany and Tiffany Pastrick, Amber and Jasmine Heesaker and her numerous nieces and nephews. Our mother loved her family and her church. She was very proud of her five grandchildren and was grateful to be well enough to attend their weddings and later to share in the love of her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, gardening and cooking. A celebration of her life will take place on October 11 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St. with Pastor Heimo Bachmeyer officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot in Brookside Cemetery. Viewing will take place 30 minutes before the service. Flowers gratefully declined. Gifts of remembrance may be sent to Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, 171 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0V9 or to a charity of ones choice. Many thanks and praise to the staff at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for the compassionate and loving care that they have provided throughout her stay. Lovingly remembered and in our hearts forever. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
