Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD KLANN Peacefully on October 9, 2001, Edward passed away at Concordia Hospital with his beloved wife of 49 years by his side. Besides his wife Lucille, he leaves to mourn his daughters, Susan Duguay (Paul) from Oshawa, Gay Caithness (Bob) from Winnipeg; four grandchildren, Bobbie-Jo Ratte (Jason), Mylynda Mousseau, Hailey and Austin Caithness; great-grandson Jordon Mousseau; sisters-in-law, Helen Klann from Winnipeg, Pat Rheault from Picton, ON, Georgette Rheault from Montreal; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Herman and Eva Klann; and brothers, Bill, Rudy and Herman. Ed was born on May 3, 1927 and raised in Elmwood. He married his beloved wife in 1951 and spent the last 39 years in North Kildonan. He worked as a printer for eight years at System Equipment and for 32 years at Moore Business Forms, retiring in 1989. Ed enjoyed family gatherings and travelled south for the winter months. Grandpa lived for his grandkids, taught them to swim and spent many happy days at Nutimik Lake watching his grandkids growing up. He was a member of 215 Legion and spent many evenings at Legion No. 215 and the St. James Legion. The family would like to thank Dr. Pat Harris, all of the wonderful staff on Oncology, and the third floor nursing staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of ones choice. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, at 2:00 p.m. in the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Reception to follow in the Desjardins reception centre. God saw you getting tired And a cure was not be be. So he wrapped you in his loving arms, And whispered "Come to me." You suffered much in silence, Your spirit did not bend.
