GERHARD GEORGE KLIEWER On October 9, 2001, at Concordia Place Personal Care Home, Gerhard Kliewer, of Winnipeg, passed away at the age of 76 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Maria; his children, Angie (Sig) Banmann, and Edie (Bill) Wilde; and his grandchildren, Kristin (Val) Medved, Jeff (Sarah) Banmann, William and James Wilde; and his nieces and nephews. Gerhard is also survived by his brother Cornelius. He was predeceased by his father Cornelius, mother Maria, two brothers, one sister, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law. Funeral service was held on Friday, October 12 at 10:30 a.m. at First Mennonite Church, 922 Notre Dame Avenue, with interment following in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Viewing was held prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3T 5K9 The family would like to thank Dr. Dirks and the staff at Concordia Place.
