MARIANA LUNA RAMOS Mariana Luna Ramos passed away peacefully on October 10, 2001, at the St. Boniface Hospital with her family by her side, at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Pedro in 1998. Her love and memory will be forever cherished by her children, Susie Ramos, Alex (Zeny) Ramos, Puring (Amor) Ruba, Virgie (Nash) Quiambao and Ed (Angelina) Ramos; grandchildren, Patrick, Kimberley, Jojo, Leo, Marvin, Melissa, Elizabeth and Shawn Daniel; brother Jose (Rose) Luna; sisters, Leonida Estrella and Dominga (Ely) Loquino; sisters-in-law, Rosita Pintes and Modesta (Simon) Villanos; nephew Emerito Estrella as well as other numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends from Canada, the USA and Philippines. Mariana was born on August 3, 1916, at Balungao, Pangasinah, Philippines, and came to Canada in 1982. A devoted homemaker throughout her life, she was a very loving and caring mom and grandma. She was always ready to extend a hand to her family and others. Because of her kind and gentle manner she set an example of self sacrifice, generosity, kindness and love for us to follow. Visitation (Lamay) will be held on Friday, October 12 from 6:30 p.m. until midnight in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Donations in Marianas memory may be made to the Cancer Society of Manitoba and to The League for Life of Manitoba. "Who can find a capable wife?
