Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM THOMAS (BILL) JONES January 6, 1922 - October 8, 2001 William Thomas (Bill) Jones in his 80th year after a short illness, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2001. A retired C.P.R. locomotive engineer and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Bill served in the Air Force during the Second World War. Born in Souris, MB and a resident at St. Michaels Villa in Winnipeg since 1995, Bill was a longtime resident of Kenora, ON. An avid gardener and a golfer, he won several awards in pursuit of both passions. He leaves his beloved wife of 47 years, Pauline; his children, Paul, Norman, Kathy (Hibberd) and Christopher, their spouses, Sharon, Colleen, Peter and Maria; as well as grandchildren, Erin, Geoff, Brock, Breanne, Bryn, Bryce, Spencer and Mackenzie. He is also survived by his sister Elsie Ireland of Souris. He will be missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Kenora. Private interment at the Lake of the Woods Cemetery to follow. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Royal Canadian Legion in Kenora at 4:00 p.m. for a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Hemophilia Society, 932 Erin St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 2W5. The Brown Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
