ALBERT EMILE JOYE Born May 18th, 1934, it is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of our beloved husband, dad, papa and most of all our best friend and protector, Albert Emile Joye in his residence near Highland Glen on October 10, 2001 at the age of 67. Albert is survived by his loving wife Ivy Joye (40 years), his son Brian Joye, daughters, Ramona Joye, Wanda (Richard) Kowalik, Shauna (Mike) Cousins and his only grandson who was his pride and joy, Dalton Joye. Albert was predeceased by his sister Clara Hughes and brother Michael Joye. Surviving are his sisters, Gabrielle Joye, Bertha (John) Mair, and Marcelline Ford along with numerous nieces and nephews. Albert and Ivy celebrated their 40th Anniversary on April 15 and enjoyed the company of their family and friends who helped celebrate. Albert was a great friend to all who met him and whoever had a chance to meet him. He would help anyone in a time of need, whether he knew them or not. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, friends and neighbours. He enjoyed playing with his grandson (Tootie) and loved him dearly. Albert also enjoyed golfing on his ready made golf course with Mr. Banish, going to garage sales, gardening, auctions, rebuilding tractors with Raymond, fixing cars, travelling, and watching a good comedy on TV. He enjoyed spending time with his new neighbours Lynn and Ernie Henry and was thankful for all their help. He took pride in his accomplishments which were numerous. He was always willing to listen and was a supporting and loving husband, father, papa and friend. Albert worked for Consolidate Motors, General Aviation, Transair and Pacific Western. Albert worked for 25 years as a Ramp Agent at Canadian Airlines and retired in May of 1999. He enjoyed the company of his friends and co-workers at the Airline and truly missed their company when he retired. The honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Tchir, John Banish, Ernie Henry and Joe Kolopenuk. Cremation will take place at Neil Bardal Inc. The family invites you to come and celebrate his wonderful life at: Anglican Parish of Christ Church, 227 McLean Avenue, Selkirk at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15. Rev. Hugh Laidlaw will be officiating and the luncheon will follow. Albert will be forever cherished and loved by his family, friends and neighbours and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Love Yous
