Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL MORTIMER It is with love and great sadness the family announces the passing of their much beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Pearl Mortimer. She peacefully passed away on October 10, 2001 with her loving family at her side. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughter Judith Morrison and her husband Bob of Saskatoon, son Frank and his wife Sharon; son Greg and his wife Dianna of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Corinne, Colleen, Scot (Wendi), Sean (Shannon), Sheena (Kevin), Shannon, Barbara (Dave), Jeff, Brittany and Taylor and 17 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Alf (Pat) of Winnipeg along with numerous family members. Pearl was born on October 31, 1918 and raised in St. Vital. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Leila Davis, early settlers of St. Vital. She was educated at Norberry School, Glenlawn Collegiate and Wesley College, (now University of Winnipeg). Pearl was a former member of St. Boniface, Norwood and St. Vital Kinettes and was active in the St. Vital Cub and Scout Association, Glenwood Community Club and Glenwood Home and School. She was a member of Eastern Star Saskatoon Chapter #4 and A.C.W. Christ Church, Saskatoon. Pearl married Frank Mortimer on June 7, 1941 in a lawn wedding and lived her entire life in St. Vital until they moved to Saskatoon in 1980. Pearl was predeceased by her parents, her husband, two sisters and three brothers. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 1:00 p.m., at Christ Church Anglican, 515 28th Street West, Saskatoon. The family wishes to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Saskatoon City Hospital for their help, loving care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Pearls memory to Canadian Blood Services.
