Date of Passing: Oct 12, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySANDRA CHARLENE MURDOCH With love and great sorrow, our family announces the sudden passing of Sandra Charlene Murdoch at St. Boniface Hospital on October 12, 2001, at the age of 35. She leaves to cherish her memory her fiance Greg; beloved daughter Tina; parents Mary and Dean (Helene) siblings, Heather, Diane (Rick), Rob (Sue), Pete (Tinas father), Andrew, Nathan and her seven nieces. Charlene was born September 16, 1966 in Winnipeg. After high school she explored a variety of careers, but her path was shortened due to complications of diabetes in her early twenties. Her greatest joys in life were her daughter Tina, Greg, her family and her pets. Matlock was a special place, where family gatherings, playing cards, doing crafts, listening to music, and watching summer storms on the porch filled her with contentment. Her quick wit and sense of humour enables her to laugh at herself and her illness and sustained her through a long and stoic fight the last few years. We will always marvel at her strength, her dignity and lack of a single complaint. Charlene was an inspiration to us all. As a child, Charlene referred to herself as Mom and Dads littlest angel, we pray she is now with the angels. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlenes memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Tuesday, October 16, at 3:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
