KATHERINE (KIT) BESSE (nee ZACHARY) Passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 81 years on October 10, 2001. She is survived by her stepdaughter Joyce Anderson (Bert) and her daughter Teena Cottingham (Cliff) six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Dot Plunkett and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Peter and sister Ruth Brotherton. Kit was born in Pratt, MB, lived in Holland, Ninette and Victoria, BC before spending the majority of her life in Winnipeg as a homemaker to her family and friend and helper to many of her neighbours. Memorial service held October 13 from Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
