ROSE KOTYK (nee FARACI) After a lengthy illness, Rose Kotyk passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at Grace Hospital at the age of 87 years. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her sons, George McBride (Carol) and Jack McBride (Marion) grandchildren, Deborah Rudolph (Ken), Brenda Hebert (David), Linda Mymryk (Dan), Jacqueline Houle (Barclay), Randy McBride (Suzanna), and Ronald McBride (Lisa) seven great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Helen Faraci and Mary Koltok; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her husband William Kotyk; three sisters, and five brothers. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, October 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens and a gathering for family and friends will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Pallbearers will be John Jamieson, Vince Gerwing, Dennis Faraci, Ron Russell, Randy McBride and Ron McBride. Honorary pallbearers will be David Hebert and Dan Mymryk. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the outstanding nursing staff of 4W at the Grace Hospital, Dr. Pat Harris, and the staff of the Oncology Department and the Home Care and VON Staff for their kindness and care. Roses sons would like to express their appreciation to their cousins for their compassionate support and to all Moms friends at Winnipeg Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roses memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
