Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD WILBERT WADDELL Left this world to rejoin his beloved Florence on Thursday October 11, 2001. Lloyd was born in Brandon, MB on November 26, 1911 and lived all of his life in Manitoba, moving to Winnipeg during the 1930s. He completed his education at St. Pauls High School in Winnipeg and joined the sales staff of the T. Eaton Company where he remained for over 40 years, retiring as manager of the electrical section in 1976. Lloyd had a "second career" as a representative of the Community Chest - later, the United Way of Winnipeg where he volunteered for many years. During the Second World War, Lloyd served overseas in Edinburgh and London as a Sergeant in the Military Police. In his youth, Lloyd was an ardent 5-pin bowler and was a member for many years of the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club. In the social field, Lloyd was a member of the Eatons Retirement Club and a past President of the Canukeena Club. Lloyd was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Ada Waddell, his brothers Charlie and Ivan Waddell, and his niece Joyce Morrison. He is survived by a large number of nieces and nephews, including Linda (Jack) Lamb of Edmonton, AB, Larry (Lynda) Gillespie of Edmonton, Helen Small of Toronto, ON, Joyce Milligan of Oshawa, ON, Keith Morrison of Stonewall, MB, and Gus (Marilyn) Gillespie of Nanaimo, BC. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 15 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Parish Church, 255 Stafford Street. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to St. Pauls High School or the United Way of Winnipeg. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
