WALTER SCHIPPASTANCE It is with deep sorrow that the family and friends of Walter Schippastance announce his passing on Friday, October 12, 2001 at the age of 76 years. Walter was surrounding by his family at his untimely passing. He will be missed and remembered by Vera and his children, Ron, Dale, Yvonne, Reid, Sheila, Arliss, Wesley, Veronica, Genevieve, Robert "Muna", Joe and Eileen. He also leaves to mourn 39 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. Walter was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Schippastance and Mary Bruce; his children, Charles, Brian, Earl and Leslie. He will be fondly remembered for his passion for the outdoors and all it had to offer. Even in his last few days, his greatest recollections were moments he remembered from his hunting, fishing and trapping days. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17 at The Lake Manitoba First Nation Cemetery. Walter always referred to Lake Manitoba First Nation as his first home. Pallbearers will be his children and grand-children, Ron, Dale, Reid, Wesley, John, Tyler, Robert and Les. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Riverview Health Centre for making his last days on earth as comfortable as possible.
