MILDA WILHELMINA LEMOINE Peacefully, on Monday, October 15, 2001 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Milda Lemoine, aged 105 years (11 days from her 106th birthday) of Petersfield passed away. Milda was born on October 26, 1895 in Germany and moved to Switzerland in 1900, where she lived for five years and then came to Canada in 1905. She later moved to Winnipeg when she was 14 and Petersfield a year later and lived there until her passing. She married Harry Alexander Lemoine in 1913 and together they had five children. Milda was predeceased by her husband in 1951, her daughter Edith May in 1929 and sons, Teddy in 1930, Glen in 1979 and Keith 1996. She is survived by her daughter Edna, daughter-in-law Phyllis Lemoine, sister-in-law Isabel Spring and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Rev. Lynn Stevens officiating. Interment to follow in the Dunara Cemetery. Special thanks to the Homecare staff, nurses at the Selkirk General Hospital, Dr. Lindenschmidt and all her neighbours and friends for their care and compassion.
