PETER FOSTY Peacefully with his family by his side, Peter, aged 83, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, on October 16, 2001. Dad was predeceased by Mary, his beloved wife of 57 years; children, Betty and Paul; his parents, Jack and Hafia Fosty; sister Pauline; and brother John. Left to mourn are his children, Olga (Dave), George (Charlette), Eugene (Carol), Jackie (Allan), Linda (Baldev), Joan (Denis), Pat (Michael), Bob (Pat) his grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Andrew, Melanie, Shaney, Melanie, John, Cory, Tamara, Jeremy, Tommy, Jocelyn, Cheryl (Dave), Kevin, Amy, Shawn, Chad, Christine (Leon), Pamela, Jennifer, and Bryan; and one great-grandchild Karissa. He is also survived by his sisters, Anne, Mary, Marge, Helen, Elsie; and his brother Bill. Peter and Mary were longtime residents of Zhoda, MB where they farmed and raised their children until 1981 when they moved to Winnipeg. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Prayers will be held in the chapel of Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (across from the Royal Canadian Mint), on Friday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 20 at 9:30 a.m., also at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, with Rev. Deacon Leon Twerdun officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will take place in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre.
