ROSE LUCHUK Peacefully, on Thursday, October 11, 2001, after a lengthy illness, Rose died at the Grace General Hospital, at the age of 90 years. She graduated from the St. Boniface General Hospital as an R.N. in 1933 and had a varied career. Rose took Post-Graduate courses in Manhattan, specializing in E.N.T. (Ear, Nose & Throat). She nursed in Toronto, Vancouver, Pickle Lake and Red Lake, and then retired from Deer Lodge Hospital with 25 years of service. Rose was a great sports enthusiast. She enjoyed the Assiniboia Downs and all equestrian meets, the Blue Bombers, and kept up with all the curling news. She loved to travel. Rose was an enthusiastic "Silver Treader" and enjoyed their many trips. Her ready smile and winning ways will be sorely missed by her adoring nieces and nephews and by all who knew her. Remaining to forever cherish Roses memory are her loving sisters, Elizabeth (Betty), who resided together with Rose in Winnipeg, MB, Frances (Dolly) of Victoria, BC; brother Reg of Flin Flon, MB; four sisters-in-law, Maude of Regina, SK, Ina of Windsor, ON, Inez of Rivers, MB, and Joyce Luchuk of Winnipeg; 15 nieces and nephews and by 30 great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Sara Luchuk; five brothers, William in infancy, Edward of Pine Falls, MB, David of Windsor, Peter of Rivers, and James of Winnipeg. In keeping with Roses wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Interment will take place in the family plot in Rivers, MB. Our family would like to thank the wonderful Palliative Care staff at the Grace General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Roses memory to the Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7; The Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7; or to a charity of ones choice. Deep are the memories Precious they stay, No passing of time Can take them away. "FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS" WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
