MICHELE MAGRONE With great sorrow we announce the passing away of Michele Magrone, aged 80. Michele was predeceased by his wife Anna in 1988. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Maria-Teresa Vassallo and her husband Giovanni; his grandchildren Francesca and her husband Myron, and Francesco Michele and his wife Anne; his precious great-granddaughter Bianca; as well as his two brothers in Bari, Italy, Pietro and Nicola; his brothers-in-law, Barbaro Laterza and his wife Pina, Vincenzo Laterza and his wife Antonia; and many nieces and nephews. Michele was born in Trieste, Italy in 1921 and immigrated to Belgium in 1949 to work in the coal mines, then came to Canada in 1957. Prayers will be held at the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave., on Sunday, October 21 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will also take place at the Holy Rosary Church, with Fr. Michael Raj Savarimuthu on Monday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
