ARTHUR RODNEY (ART) TURNER Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Art passed away with his family by his side at the Victoria Hospital on October 18, 2001. He was predeceased by his sister Florence Crowe and his brother Howard Turner. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife Marion; daughters, Bette-Ann Turner and Sandra Hagel (David). Art was born in Toronto, ON, one of three children. He was in the Air Force and served during the Second World War and was stationed in Newfoundland. He was a commercial traveller in the bearing business and retired after 40 years of service. One of his favourite pastimes was the time he got to spend on the golf course. Art loved animals and had a special place in his heart for Spooker. At Arts request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Prenavault and the staff on the 5th floor at Victoria Hospital. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or to the CNIB, 1080 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3G 9Z9.
