GLEN MARTIN DARKACH May 7, 1934 - October 3, 2001 Peacefully at his residence in Anola, MB on October 3, 2001, passed away. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Mary Darkach (nee MacLaren) and by a brother Clifford. Glen is survived by distant family members as well as by many friends and neighbours. Glen was born in the Hazelridge area and later moved to Anola where he lived the remainder of his life. Although Glen had no immediate family, his friends and neighbours would often stop in and check on him from time to time. He was always willing to lend a hand and in his earlier years he would help with the thrashing. He also enjoyed being with his neighbours. You could always find a cat at his home and he never turned a stray away, he loved animals. The family would like to thank the Meals on Wheels as well as all the friends and neighbours who looked in on Glen. It will not be forgotten. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service in his memory will be held on Monday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m. from Russell Funeral Homes, Beausejour, MB, with Fr. Owen Steeves officiating. Interment of his cremated remains will be in the Millbrook Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Glens memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
