Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGRACE MARGARET (HARTRY) TREWIN Passed away suddenly at Brandon General Hospital on October 10, 2001. Grace was born in Waskada, MB June 25, 1913, the only daughter of Maurice and Zella Hartry. In 1940 she married the late H. Forbes Trewin. They enjoyed 43 wonderful years together. Her entire 88 years were spent in the community of Waskada. Grace was a member of the Waskada United Church and participated for 60 continuous years as a member of the Waskada Evening Circle and the Womens Institute. She served as longtime secretary of the Waskada Agricultural Society. She was a friend and mentor to all who had the pleasure of knowing her and will be sadly missed by the entire community. Mom will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by those she leaves to mourn: her children, Margaret Anne Trewin and husband Bill Starr of Lacombe, AB, her son James Forbes Trewin and wife Paulette of Waskada; her grandchildren, Jeff and Greg Trewin of Waskada, Wade Trewin of Saskatoon, SK, Laurie McMechan of Calgary, AB, and Phil McMechan of Edmonton, AB; and her great-granddaughter Morgan Trewin of Waskada. Also surviving are her sister-in-law Donalda Trewin of Waskada, several cousins as well as many nieces and nephews. Grace was predeceased by her two brothers, William and Fred Hartry. The funeral service was held in the Waskada United Church, Waskada, on Sunday, October 14. Rev. Mark Satterly officiated, with a private family interment in the Waskada Cemetery. Active pallbearers were grandsons Jeff Trewin, Greg Trewin, Wade Trewin, and Philip McMechan, nephew Reid Hartry and great-nephew Keith Hartry. Honorary pallbearers were neighbours and friends, Doug and Marilyn Gordon, John and Fran Dickinson, Ernie and Arlys Fairchild, Norm and Jackie Reid, Ron and Sandy Stewart, Owen and Debbie Gibson, Lloyd and Dolores Vanbeselaere, Doug and Trudy Lee, Leona DeVuyst, Bill and Shirley McKinney, Sonja Hoefer and Jeff McKinney. Arrangements were in the care of the Smith Funeral Homes of Deloraine. Donations may be made to the Waskada Cemetery Fund or a local charity.
