Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER WELBY January 1, 1932 - October 19, 2001 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Peter Welby at home peacefully with his family at his side. Peter was predeceased by his son Randy in 1997, whom he greatly missed until his passing. Peter is survived by his wife Cecelia of 49 years; his children, Leo (Monica), Jim (Carol), Elaine, daughter-in-law Cathy, Eileen (Bruce), Charles (Charlene), Christine (Keith), Robert (Diane), Donna (Trevor), Ken, and Brian (Tracey) grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, Leon and Marg, Terry Grouette, Jim Dykeman, Marie, Art Limber and other relatives too numerous to mention. Mom and Dad were to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on February, 2002. Mom was a very devoted wife who was Dads source of strength, comfort, and encouragement throughout their many years together. Their love for each other was an inspiration to us all. Mom, and their son Ken provided around the clock care which enabled Dad to enjoy his final days at home where he most wanted to be, with his family. Dad had a very gentle spirit. He was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He always put others needs before his own. Dad had numerous talents including many musical talents that kept his family and friends entertained over the years. Dad was not only a husband, father and grandfather to us all but he was always a great friend who always had time to listen. He loved us all unconditionally. He was a very special gifted person that shared his gifts with all. Special thanks to Auntie Yvonne, and Uncle Rosario, whom spent many hours keeping Dad company throughout his illness. Also, Father Dado for his spiritual care and many prayers. The family would also like to express their thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, Dr. Kumar of Nielsens homeopathic clinic, and the palliative care team at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Sunday, October 21 at 5:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St. with Rev. Fr. Diosdado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. We love you, Dad. We will all miss you. You will always be forever in our hearts. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
