(BETTY) LORRAINE TOWSTEGO (Affectionately Known as "Mom") It is with great sorrow that we, the Towstego family, announce the passing of our dear wife, mother and granny on October 16, 2001 at the age of 68 years. Betty was a caring and loving lady who touched the lives of many with her nurturing spirit and will be sadly missed. She has left her family and friends with beautiful memories of her loving generosity and capacity for giving. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Walter of 44 years; and two sons, Paul (Shellie) and Robert (Marnie). She leaves behind with great regret her five grandchildren, Alanna, Austin (Paul and Shellie) and Matthew, Kevin, Sarah (Robert and Marnie) her siblings who greatly loved her, Ethel (James May), Bud (Jean), Everett (Anne), Harry (Laura), Larry (Flo), Carol (Mike Lisoway), Connie (Avery Dearborn), Angela (Rhinhardt Henkel), Donna (Bob Hendrickson) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Aurther H. Carpenter and mother, Margaret; brother, John (Florence) and sister, Rena (Wilf Gagnon). A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 23 at 11:00 a.m. at McClure United Church, 13708 - 74 St. Rev. Brenda Gibson officiating with interment in Northern Lights Cemetery.
