NORMA LYNNE BRITNER (nee EISENER) April 1, 1949 - October 19, 2001 Norma, beloved wife of Ronald J. Britner, died unexpectedly, after a brief fight with cancer, at the Concordia Hospital, late Friday evening, October 19, 2001. She was predeceased by her mother Vera Eisener (nee Hine) and her father Gerald Eisener. Norma was a teacher with the Winnipeg School Division No. 1 for more than 30 years until the time of her death and had taught innumerable numbers of students during her teaching career. She loved her work, particularly her students who she worked with, and for, tirelessly to provide them with the educational building blocks they would require as they move on through the education system. During that time she also became very close friends with many of her colleagues. Over the past five years Norma spent a considerable amount of her spare time attending to her aunt, Phylis Langman and volunteering for special events at the Riverview Health Centre. She was well known by most of the staff of the third floor (3-CD) and was admired for her positive attitude and dedication. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with the Rev. D. Wilson officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
