GERARD HENRY DE JONCKHEERE Peacefully, in his sleep on Saturday, October 20, 2001 Gerard Henry De Jonckheere passed into eternal rest. He was predeceased by his father Gerry, his mother Alice and a brother George. Left to remember him is his brother Laurie (Frances) sister- in-law Marlyn; nieces and nephews, Darcie (Richard) Kass, Rob, Doug (Joan), Terry (friend John) Dan (friend Jen) and his great-niece and nephews, Ryan, Kevin, Taylor, Kayla, Adam and Edmond. Gerry was very active with the Knights of Columbus, Norwood Council No. 3538 and with many Holy Cross Parish Activities. Anyone who knew Gerry, knew he was happiest at the family cottage at Red Rock Lake. Prayer Vigil will be held on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m at P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, October 24, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Parish Church 252 Dubuc St.t with Rev. Fr. Lucien Roy presiding. Pallbearers will be, Rob, Doug, and Dan De Jonckheere, Robert Borsa, Denis Pinette, and Louis Harmel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society at 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation at 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8.
